The origin of this esteemed club dates back to 1945. It has been a centre point of attraction among the localites with a great royal heritage. Club members and their support has always been a stepping stone towards the popularity graph of the Cosmopolitan club. It started functioning in the pre independence period, when Manjeri was stretching its wings to become a centre for trade. Munsif court was also a speciality of Manjeri as it had been established by the Britishers about 2 centuries ago. At the starting phase, Cosmopolitan club started functioning as a tennis club in the same court. It had been the only tennis club in those days.
